Williams Alumni Band forming

Any Williams High School (WHS) alumni who played in the Viking Band should dust off those instruments and come out and play in the Second Annual Alumni Band. The band will perform at the WHS Homecoming on Oct. 12. Meet at the band room at 5:30 p.m. Wear your school colors and plan on having a lot of fun. Mix it up with America Legion

The Williams-Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors are having a mixer 5-7 p.m. Oct. 19 at American Legion Cordova Post No. 13, 425 W. Grant Ave.

Enjoy appetizers, raffle prizes and much more. Learn more about the American Legion. Proceeds benefit the American Legion.

Art Walk Oct. 13

Looking for a fun evening? Experience Williams' Second Saturday Art Walk 6-9 p.m. Oct. 13. Start at the Open Studio (behind Family Dollar) with great food and drinks. Pick up an art walk map at the Open Studio and follow it to the shops located along the art walk.

First Friday Feast Friday

Join the congregation of St. Joseph's Church at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Church Hall, corner of Ninth and Grant, for the First Friday Feast, a Mexican feast. Enjoy tacos or burritos, beans, rice, dessert and a drink for $5. Don't miss Dolores' great food.

Toastmasters meet today

Bake, craft sale Oct. 13

The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 13 is hosting a craft, food and rummage sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 13 at the legion, 425 W. Grant Ave. Tables are available to rent. Call Marystella Riojas at (928) 856-1888 ASAP to reserve a table.

Eat spaghetti, help scouts

Cub Scout Pack 140 and Troop 120 are having a fundraiser spaghetti dinner 5-7:30 p.m. Monday at Community United Methodist Church, corner of Second and Sherman.

Enjoy spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, Dutch oven cooked dessert and coffee, tea or punch. Free will donations will be accepted. Funds will be used for awards, program items and sending boys to camp.

Get a flu shot

Flu shot clinics will be held Oct. 10 and 16 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Oct. 19 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at Williams Health Care Center. Shots are available for ages 6 months and up. Call (928) 635-4441 to schedule an appointment.
