Community Worship Service Sunday

The Community Worship Service will be hosted by St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Sunday. The service includes singing, praying and Biblical preaching followed by a time of refreshments and fellowship.

St. John's is located at the corner of Second Street and Grant Avenue. The service is sponsored by the Williams Ministerial Alliance. Residents and visitors of our city are welcome to enjoy an evening of fellowship.

Community United Methodist Church

With the hint of fall in the air, the kids picked the last of the squash that had grown this week in their garden. They are anxiously awaiting the pumpkins that are getting larger every day.

Pastor Billy's message was "Lord Jesus, take Away Our Doubt," with scriptures being read from Colossians 2:1-5. Saturday was a very productive day as more than a dozen workers were on scene to do many projects lined out by the Trustees. Kids and adults worked side by side to check off the work that was scheduled.Great job and thanks to all that helped.

Weekly fellowship opportunities include -

• Monday, 6 p.m. Cub Scout meeting.

• Tuesday - 1-3 p.m., Not Sew Perfect Quilters.

• Wednesday - 6 p.m. Recharge Soup/Salad Fellowship; 7 p.m. Recharge Study, "Intentional Life."

• Thursday - 10 a.m. Women's Bible study; 6 p.m., Youth Group.

• Saturday - 9 a.m. Lay Shepherding Class.

• Sunday - 8:45 a.m. adult Sunday school; 9:50 a.m. prayer time before worship; 10 a.m. Young Disciples Church; and 11:30 a.m. fellowship.

• Sunday Sept. 30 - Welcome celebration for our new Bishop, Robert T. Hoshiibata, First United Methodist Church, Phoenix.

Also, the Community Worship Service begins at 6 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church.

• Sunday, Oct. 7 - There will be a special Church Charge Conference with two items on the agenda - to recommend Fred Heggestad to the Conference Board of Ordained Minstry for certification as a candidate for license as a local pastor; and, to seek approval to formalize the Building Committee.

• Monday, Oct. 8 - Cub and Boy Scouts Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser.

St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church

St. Johns will be hosting the Ecumenical Community Service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30. We will need extra help, so call if you can assist.

Plans are in the process for our 100th church anniversary on Oct. 7. The Episcopalian Bishop will be preaching that morning. The service will be followed by a lunch potluck.

At 2 p.m. the celebration will continue with a music program and refreshments. The community is invited to join us.

Family Harvest Church

Our weekly schedule includes -

• Sunday - 10:30 a.m., Worship and Word; 11 a.m., Kids Church.

• Wednesday - 6 p.m., Life Lessons.

• Thursday - Youth Leadership Development, 5:30 p.m.; Youth Live Worship by the Beaver Boys, 7 p.m. Fear Factor is the theme.

Last Thursday of the month is Ladies Mission to Hope Cottage in Flagstaff. Last Thursday of the month is Sunshine Rescue Mission to feed and teach about the love of Christ.

Calvary Chapel Williams

This week's regularly scheduled church events include -

• Wednesday - Midweek study begins at 7 p.m. at the church.

• Thursday - Junior and Senior High School Youth Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

• Sunday - An Hour of Prayer begins at 9 a.m. Please join us to pray for the needs of our community, state, nation and world. Sunday worship service begins at 10 a.m. Pastor Mike is currently teaching through the Book 1 of Corinthians.

The church is located at 106 S. Ninth St. For more information on any events, please call 635-1597.

St. Joseph Catholic Church

Weekly events include -

• Friday - 4 p.m., Holy Hour and Benediction; and 5 p.m., Daily Mass.

• Saturday - 4 p.m., Confessions; 4:30 p.m., Holy Rosary; 5 p.m., English Vigil Mass; 6:30 p.m., Santo Rosario; and 7 p.m., Santa Misa Vigilia.

• Sunday - 7:30 a.m. Rosary; 8 a.m. Mass in English.

• Tuesday - 5 p.m., Daily Mass.

The church office is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

First Baptist Church

Weekly events include:

• Sunday - 8 and 10:30 a.m., worship service, nursery provided; children's church, 11 a.m.; and 5 p.m. Youth Bible Study.

• Monday - 9 a.m. ladies Bible study; 7:30 p.m. Men's Bible Study.

• Tuesday - 10 a.m. ladies Bible study; 6:30 p.m., Mid-week service, nursery provided.

• Wednesday - 6 p.m., Youth Steadfast Group

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

We welcome you to our church. Our activities include:

• Wednesday, 7 p.m., Cub Scout Pack No. 138 (8-11 years), Boy Scout Troop No. 138 (12-17 years), Young Men/Young Women (12-17 years), and Achievement Day Girls (8-11 years).

The Jehovah's Witnesses warmly welcome you to their weekly Bible meetings:
