St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church

Know that the Lord gives victory.

Members of St. John's are beginning to make plans for the 100th anniversary of the church. We will be celebrating this special occasion on Sunday, Oct. 7.

Anyone who has pictures or information about St. John's in its earlier years, please contact Kris Vasquez at 863-2467.

Sunday morning services begin at 10 a.m. All are welcome.

First Baptist Church

Come and be a part of our dynamic ministry! The Word of God is preached with compassion, encouragement and joy. Our Church praises the Lord with an exciting mix of music and preaching. We are a Christ-centered Church that loves the Lord and His people.

Our prayer is that no one would leave without being changed by Jesus. We look forward to seeing you!

Our Sunday celebration is just the start, as we have something for everyone. Bring the family and join us for all our other activities during the week. Call the office for more information or just stop by the office and pick up our latest bulletin.

Small groups are available at member's homes and membership classes are available upon request.

Weekly events include:

• Sunday - 8 and 10:30 a.m., worship service, nursery provided; children's church, 11 a.m.; Elders meeting, 12 p.m.; and 5 p.m., Youth Bible Study.

• Monday - 9 a.m., Ladies Bible Study; 7:30 p.m. Men's Bible Study.

• Tuesday - 6 p.m., Mid-week service.

• Wednesday - 10 a.m. ,Ladies Bible Study at Edith P's; 6 p.m., Youth Steadfast Group

• Saturday - Men's Breakfast

Community United Methodist Church

Roman's 1:17. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight; this is accomplished from start to finish by Faith. As the scriptures say, "It is through Faith that a righteous person has life."

Fred Heggestad brought the message Sunday. Pastor Billy was away attending Annual Conference. Fred's message title was "Faith is Nothing Impossible."

Patty Williams spent time with the young disciples, teaching them no matter what, Trust God. The kids are excited about their garden. Despite no rain and the grasshoppers, their plants are popping up, thanks to the tender loving care from Dottie, Tish, Ernie, Tyler and the Vacation Bible School kids.

-Women's Bible study is continuing for all the women of the Church that are unable to attend the Sisters in Spirit Bible study.

Weekly fellowship opportunities include -

• Monday - 6:30 p.m. Cub Scout meeting.

• Tuesday - 1-3 p.m. Not-Sew-Perfect Quilters.

• Wednesday - 6 p.m. soup/salad dinner; 7 p.m. recharge study, "God Chasers."

• Thursday - 10 a.m. Women's Bible study.

• Sunday - 8:45 a.m. adult Sunday school; 9:50 a.m. prayer time before worship; 10 a.m. Young Disciples Church; and 11:30 a.m. fellowship.

Family Harvest Church

Pastor Tim Milner and David Gutshall invite you and your family to be our guest every week. We have something for the whole family. We are a Christ centered church. Loving people and bringing them into a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ is what we are all about. We have Spirit filled worship led by Lance Beavers, and a message that will speak truth into your life. • Monday - 4:30 p.m. Ladies Study (Battlefield of the Mind - Joyce Meyer); and 6:30 p.m. Live Worship and World Youth Service.

• Wednesday - 6 p.m., Life Lessons 101.

• Friday - 7 p.m., Christian Solution for Addiction is Jesus.

St. Joseph Catholic Church

Weekly events include -

• Friday - 8 a.m., Benediction and Holy Hour Morning Prayer; 9 a.m., Holy Mass.

• Saturday - 4 p.m., Confessions; 5 p.m., Holy Rosary; 5:30 p.m., English Mass; 6:45 p.m., Santo Rosario; 7 p.m., Spanish Mass.

• Sunday - 7:30 a.m., Holy Rosary; 8 a.m., Holy Mass.

• Tuesday - 8:40 a.m., Liturgy of the Hour Morning Prayer; 9 a.m., Holy Mass.

The church office is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

St. Joseph's is located at 900 W. Grant Ave. For additional information, please call 635-2430.

Canyon Chapel Foursquare

Regular weekly services include -

• Wednesday - 7 p.m. Youth Group.

• Thursday - 6:30 p.m. worship.

• Sunday - 10 a.m. celebration service with kids church.

Canyon Chapel is located at 720 W. Sheridan. They can be reached at (928) 635-4688.

Calvary Chapel Williams

This week's regularly scheduled church events include -

• Wednesday - Midweek study begins at 7 p.m. at the church.

• Thursday - Junior and Senior High School Youth Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

• Sunday - An Hour of Prayer begins at 9 a.m. Please join us to pray for the needs of our community, state, nation and world. Sunday worship service begins at 10 a.m. Pastor Mike is currently teaching through the Book 1 of Corinthians.

The church is located at 106 S. Ninth St. For more information on any events, please call 635-1597.

Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah's Witnesses warmly welcome you to their weekly Bible meetings:

• Sunday - Bible discourse, 10 a.m.; Watchtower study, Matthew 6:10.

• Thursday - Theocratic Ministry School, Congregation Bible Study, service meeting, 7:30 p.m., John 6:45.

All meetings are held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5495 N. Sunset Strip, and are open to the public.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

We welcome you to our church. Our activities include:

• Wednesday, 7 p.m., Cub Scout Pack No. 138 (8-11 years), Boy Scout Troop No. 138 (12-17 years), Young Men/Young Women (12-17 years), and Achievement Day Girls (8-11 years).
