Community United Methodist Church
Scripture for Sunday was read from Matthew
5:1-9. Pastor Billy's message was titled "Blessed be the Peaceable." This is a series on the Beatitudes.
Preparation for work on the bell tower began Sunday. After service the main door in the narthex was blocked off. Mesh fencing has been placed on the west side of the church for safety. Work should begin Tuesday, April 13. Bring your lawn chairs and watch as a huge crane removes the tower and construction on the footing begins. Plans are to repair the tower while it is on the ground and then placed back up on the new foundation. It will be quite a project. The youth are proud to be part of the project. Their efforts in raising seven miles of pennies snowballed, with gifts and donations from as far away as Michigan, Oklahoma, and California, not to mention the generous people of Williams.
Saturday (April 24) the Lay Shepherding class will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday - Theocratic Ministry School, Congregation Bible Study, service meeting, 7:30 p.m., John 6:45.
All meetings are held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5495 N. Sunset Strip, and are open to the public.
