Letter: Thanks for your votes of support for Williams Health Care Center

To the editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many registered voters who voted 'yes' to continue the Williams Hospital District's secondary property tax subsidy for the Williams Health Care Center.

The revenue generated from the secondary property tax will be used to maintain the Williams Health Care Center's daily operations, extended urgent care hours and overall expenses associated with operating a clinic 365 days a year that employs five full time medical providers, four part time medical providers, registered nurses, physical therapists, radiology/lab technicians and all of the support staff that keep the center running.

We would like to hear from those individuals who voted 'no' for the continued property tax subsidy about what we can do differently to gain your support and instill confidence for the next time the tax subsidy question appears on the ballot.

In an effort to better serve the community of Williams, North Country HealthCare will be conducting a Community Needs Assessment within the next six months and your participation, input and comments are appreciated.

With your assistance, we can build a stronger and more patient-centered health center for the residents and businesses of the Williams Hospital District and our many visitors. Comments can be directed to Jeff Axtell, clinic manager, jaxtell@nchcaz.org.

Thank you.
