Letter: Contrary to some opinions, zipline will be fun

To the editor:

Well, aren't we all puffed up about ourselves!

I think Mr. Jacoby is exactly correct! The zipline fits in with the spirit of what Route 66 is all about. Michael Wallis said it right in his video, when asked if Route 66 has gotten too commercial, he said, "It has always been commercial. It's about people earning bucks."

Give it until December, the trial period, then judge whether it will come back next year. In the meantime, when it's in operation, take a ride! I will 'cause it sounds like fun to me! Maybe the naysayers don't like it because it might be fun! Coming Mr. Jacoby?

I'm there! "Get your kicks on Route 66"! Get the zip into town! Let's get that bowling ally/arcade/miniturature golf course project going too! Fun is what Route 66 is all about. Don't fear change. And for those worried about parking... plenty of parking around town!
