11/8/2011 11:39:00 AM Letter: Woman pleased with customer service at local gas station
To the editor:
On Oct. 19, I went to the Williams Health Care Center with a cold that turned into a serious sinus infection.
Afterwards I went to the Williams Conoco by Safeway to get gas before going home. I got out of my car to use my debit, sneezing and sniffling. As soon as I had punched in everything for my gas, an employee named Jackie came up to me and said, "I got this, I'll pump your gas. You go ahead and get back in your car."
I did exactly that. After pumping my gas for me, she brought my receipt and asked me if I were a local. I said, "Yes." She said, "I'll be right back with your discount."
Thank you, thank you, Jackie, for making my otherwise one of the worst days of my life, a little better.
Jackie went beyond what is standard for customer service. In the world we live in today, it's not always easy to find this kindness to a total stranger. Thank you, Jackie.
