Letter: Annual W.A.A.G. vaccination clinic a success thanks to community and vet support

To the Editor:

Thanks to the Williams community for another successful Rabies Vaccination Clinic. We had 211 dogs and cats come for shots with their human companions. It was a safe, easy process for all involved.

Some folks need to be thanked especially. First, the loyal, skilled Williams Animal Action Group's (W.A.A.G.) volunteers kept lines moving so quickly that we got lots of compliments.

Secondly, thanks to our W.A.A.G. co-sponsors: the city of Williams, the Williams-Grand Canyon News, and Bankers Real Estate. They allowed us to get the word out and keep costs down. Williams Feed & Pets came through again with the yearly combo shots for owners to administer. Wonderful!

And thanks to all the pet owners who showed up with clear paperwork, exact change, well-controlled pets and patience.

Our appreciation goes to Dr. Rob Moore and his vet-technician, Kim, who were able to handle the grumpy pets with kindness, speed and safety. We were fortunate to have had their skills at the W.A.A.G 28th Annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic. It was a fine day.

Kali Kaliche

President of W.A.A.G
