Letter: Local Marine thanks community for care package
Colby Reinarz

To the editor:

I would like to thank everyone for the care package you sent. I can't even tell you how much it means to have this many people thinking of you. Having a whole community behind you is such a great feeling, one of the advantages of coming from a small close-knit community.

I am glad to inform you that I was able to spend Christmas with my family up in Oregon, other than that all is going well for me. I am still stationed in Camp Pendleton fortunately right on Del Mar beach so I can go down whenever I like. If you did not know I am an 1833 Amphibious assault vehicle operator, so far that is going well. Mostly it's keeping the vehicles up and running with field training every so often.

I greatly appreciate all the things in the package; it's the small things that are taken for granted that make all the difference. Even more so I would like to thank everyone for the consideration and thought that went into this. So please pass on to all involved how extremely grateful I am for the care package and well wished, I really appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Colby Reinarz

P.S. Tell Master Gunnery Sergeant Sowers I would like to meet him next time I am in town and I will do my best to pass on when that will be.
