Myrlee Irene Lukens

Myrlee Irene Lukens, 91, of Williams, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 in Flagstaff.

She was born in Pilot Grove, Iowa on April 23, 1918. She grew up on a farm in Iowa. She enjoyed her church and her friends. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. In 1935 she married Claude McFarland and they had four children.

She is survived by her children Jack (Juanita) McFarland of Williams, Dorothy (Glenn) Cox of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Janis Alexander of Pleasant Hope, Mo; her daughter-in-law Wanda McFarland of Waterford, Calif.; her brother Lloyd Penry of Red Oak, Iowa; and 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude; her son, James McFarland; and by one brother and two sisters.

A visitation will take place Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff. There will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at the Williams Cemetery.
