Lawrence Franklin "Frank" Marek

Lawrence Franklin "Frank" Marek, 75, of Williams, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2009.

Mr. Marek was born February of 1934 in Bay City, Texas to Frank and Emma Marek. He was raised in Edna, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Texas A&I University.

He worked for the United States Government, living in Albuquerque, N.M., until retirement in 1984. Upon retirement he moved to Williams.

Mr. Marek was a life long Catholic. He loved working in his yard, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed animals mainly his dogs and cats.

He is survived by his wife Ann, son Mark Marek, daughter Laura Boyack (Kent), sisters Georgia Housson and Barbara Muegge, brother Cisco Marek and five grandchildren.

Holy Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009 with Mass following at 2 p.m., all at the St. Josephs Catholic Church of Williams. Burial will conclude services at the Williams Cemetery.

Condolences can be sent to the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary.
