New court volunteer coming on board....
The Williams Justice Court welcomes Coconino County Volunteer Don Saylor to our court. Mr. Saylor has an extensive work history and experience with counseling veterans and those suffering from PTSD, substance abuse, and other emotional health matters. Mr. Saylor will be coordinating our community restitution program at the court, which has been providing services to our community from those ordered by Court to complete community restitution. This is usually accomplished by defendants being involved in community beautification projects.
On April 10th, 2013, at 1:00pm the Williams High School will host their third annual career expo. Various venders, including members of the Williams Justice and Municipal Courts, will be on hand to display and demonstrate the particulars of their respective career field.
The Williams Justice and Municipal Courts are working on hosting the first annual Law Day at our court in Williams. Students from the district will be invited to the court to see and experience the happenings and procedures in our courts. Real attorneys, bailiffs, and other criminal justice professionals will be present to provide instruction and practice with inter-active courtroom proceedings. Williams Justice Court Manager Jennifer Carter will be setting a date after an upcoming planning meeting is completed.
