A few weeks ago, I was celebrating my birthday. The day before, I had celebrated by shopping at four different Kohl's ... my favorite store. All was going well and I was feeling swell. My daughter called me to wish me happy birthday. We were chatting away about my plans for the day and everything I had purchased the prior day. I reminded her that in five more years, I am owed a huge party to celebrate my 50th birthday. Friday, August 27, 2010
Last week, my baby turned 21. I guess I can no longer blame weight gain on the fact that I had two babies. Next week, my oldest is marrying the man of her dreams, expanding our family. I am happy that I spent the last 24 years of my life raising children and that I contributed significantly to the final products - two wonderful, productive adults. Friday, August 06, 2010
August has always been a busy month for me - my birthday, a wedding anniversary and usually a small vacation. This summer, there will be no vacation. We will add another wedding anniversary to celebrate in future years - my daughter is getting married. Monday, July 12, 2010
We have more animals than people living at our house - three dogs and three cats versus three people. With the exception of my cat, the rest started out as children's pets. The youngest pet is 5 and the oldest is 15, so usually it's pretty calm, even with six animals. Tuesday, June 15, 2010
