The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -

• Officers assisted Lifeline on Seventh Avenue;

• Officers arrested a man for domestic violence assault and disorderly conduct on Route 66;

• Officers kept the peace on Third Street;

• Officers took a report of a stolen purse. The purse was found to have been left by the victim at a local restaurant;

• Officers moved a camper from an old restaurant's parking lot;

• Officers responded to loud music complaints at several local bars;

• Officers removed two semi's parked in an old convenience store's parking lot;

• Officers responded to smoke on Fifth Street. A barrel was burning that was put out by owner;

• Officers responded to a private property accident at a local gas station;

• Officers responded to a non-injury accident with an elk versus a vehicle on Route 66 and the BNSF overpass;

• Officers removed a RV from an old restaurant's parking lot;

• Officers took a report of illegal dumping at a local hotel;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at a local grocery store;'

• Officers took a fraud report on Seventh Street;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Sherman Avenue, a verbal warning was issued and the parties were separated;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers dealt with a mental health issue on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers responded to a disturbance at a local gas station, the subject was gone when officers arrived;

• Officers responded to a civil disturbance on Morse Avenue;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Grant Avenue. A man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of dangerous drugs;

• Officers kept the peace on Edison Avenue;

• Officers responded to an intoxicated man getting into a vehicle on Route 66, officers found the man and gave him a ride home;

• Officers removed several campers from the city;

• Officers took a theft report on Second Avenue;

• Officers responded to logs on fire at Cataract Lake, campers put out the fire;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Seventh Street, the subjects left the area;

• Officers responded to an erratic driver on Shipman Avenue;

• Officers responded to a trespasser on Railroad Avenue;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Route 66; and

• Officers issued six citations and gave out 13 warnings.

Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
