Williams 911: Week of May 12, 2010

The Williams Police Department answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to a fight on Homestead.

• Officers responded to Lazy E in reference to a report of juveniles partying. Officers located the juveniles, who were just listening to music.

• Officers dealt with an intoxicated couple on Route 66.

• Officers responded to an illegal burn on Lewis.

• Officers responded to Bootlegger Crossing in reference to a male causing issues on an Amtrak train. A male was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• Officers responded to Third and Grant in reference to shots fired. An intoxicated male was arrested for discharging a firearm in an alleyway.

• Officers responded to a report of a man who pointed a gun at subjects on Forest Service Road 171. The man was arrested for aggravated assault.

• Officers dealt with a civil matter on First Street.

• Officers dealt with a dog issue on Ninth Street.

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Second Street.

• Officers took a report of a possible assault on Sixth Street. It was determined that no assault occurred.

• Officers conducted a civil standby on Newton.

• Officers responded to suspicious subjects on Grant.

• Officers responded to a suspicious person on Ninth and Route 66.

• Officers dealt with an intoxicated subject on Fifth and Route 66.

• Officers responded to a noise complaint from a hotel in reference to a restaurant playing music too loud.

• Officers responded to an alarm on Pine Meadows.

• Officers took a report of threats on Wells Fargo.

• Officers responded to trespassers on Grant Avenue. Officers removed them.

• Officers conducted a welfare check on Newton.

• Officers responded to underage drinkers at an apartment complex. All were of legal drinking age.

• Officers responded to a loud party at 5 a.m. The parties were told to quiet down and they complied.

• Officers responded to a fire alarm on Seventh Street.

• Officers took a report of a missing person. The subject was located.

• Officers conducted a welfare check on Rodeo Road.

• Officers arrested a male for extreme DUI on Rodeo Road.

• Officers dealt with a transient on Grand Canyon Boulevard.

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on First Street.

• Officers investigated a hit and run accident on Fulton.

• Officers took in a found bike on Grand Canyon Boulevard.

• Officers issued 10 citations and gave out 34 warnings.

Those that want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
