The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -

• Officers, with the assistance of the Flagstaff Police Department, booked a suspect for two counts of aggravated assault after they responded to a domestic call on First Street. When the suspect fled the area, a search warrant was obtained for a residence in Flagstaff where the suspect was apprehended;

• Officers responded to a dog attacking another dog on I-40 on ramp at 161. The dog was dispersed by an officer;

• Officers responded to and removed subjects trespassing on Seventh Street;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Oak Avenue;

• Officers took a report of a dog bite on Hancock Avenue;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Grant Avenue;

• Officers responded to a trespasser at a local hotel;

• Officers took a shoplifting report at a local convenience store;

• Officers took a report of criminal damage on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers responded to a burglary in progress on Seventh Street. The suspect was startled by a resident and ran from the area. The case is under investigation;

• Officers dealt with campers in the city on Railroad Avenue;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Railroad Avenue, a suspect was arrested for assault;

• Officers responded to a verbal argument on Grant Avenue, the parties were separated;

• Officers responded to an intoxicated man causing issues on Route 66. The subjects left the area when officers arrived;

• Officers took a fraud report on Route 66;

• Officers took a burglary report of a vacation home on Rodgers Avenue;

• Officers separated subjects after a verbal altercation on First Street;

• Officers took a harassment report on Grant Avenue;

• Officers responded to several dog calls in the city;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations in the city;

• Officers responded to three intoxicated men leaving a bar and urinating in public. The subjects were found and told to go to their hotel, which they did;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Route 66, the parties were separated;

• Officers responded to a juvenile issue at a local hotel;

• Officers, along with the Fire Department, responded to a car leaking gas;

• Officers responded to a fight at Third St. and Route 66, the case is still under investigation for disorderly conduct;

• Officers took a burglary report on Seventh Street;

• Officers took a burglary report on Slagel Avenue;

• Officers cited a suspect for a hit and run accident at the city parking lot;

• Officers responded to a domestic call on Grant. A verbal warning was issued and the parties were separated;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Seventh Street;

• Officers arrested a man for driving with a suspended license on Railroad Avenue;

• Officers arrested a man for a warrant on Ninth Street; and

• Officers issued seven citations and gave out 13 warnings.

Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
