The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -

• Officers responded to what was determined to be a natural death of a man on Ninth St.;

• Officers took a report of lost property on Route 66;

• Officers responded to unfounded threats on Fulton Ave.;

• Officers took a report of burglary from a vehicle on Seventh St.;

• Officers arrested two men and a woman from out of state for possession of marijuana, narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Route 66;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Third St. and Route 66, nothing was found in the area;

• Officers responded to several dog calls in the city;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers assisted the Fire Department with smoke in a building on Railroad Ave.;

• Officers assisted a motorist whose car had broken down on Ninth St.;

• Officers took a report of a hit and run accident at a local hotel:

• Officers assisted the Department of Public Safety during a snow storm with a couple of non-injury accidents;

• Officers responded to a generator noise on Fulton Ave.;

• Officers responded to shots fired near a local restaurant and found a truck backfiring;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Fifth St. and Route 66;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident in front of the post office;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on First St. and Grant Ave.;

• Officers delivered presents as part of the law enforcement toy drive throughout the city;

• Officers responded to a man down on Homestead Ave., the man was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center by Lifeline;

• Officers arrested a man for shoplifting at a local store;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on First St. and Route 66, the subject was gone when officers arrived;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident on Grand Canyon Blvd.;

• Officers took a report of lost property on Grand Canyon Blvd.;

• Officers responded to an open door at a local restaurant, the owner was contacted;

• Officers investigated a non-injury hit and run accident at a local hotel;

• Officers assisted Lifeline on Second St. and Grant Ave.;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at a local hotel;

• Officers responded to a subject ice fishing on the Santa Fe Dam and:

• Officers issued four citations and gave out 15 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
