The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service (among others) -

• Officers took a report of a house being egged on Grant Ave;

• Officers conducted a welfare check on First St;

• Officers responded to a suspicious person on Edison Ave;

• Officers responded to a neighbor problem on Boyd St;

• Officers responded to a disturbance at a local hotel, intoxicated subjects were told to go in their room and they complied;

• Officers investigated a non-injury hit and run accident of an unoccupied vehicle on Fulton Ave;

• Officers took a criminal damage to a vehicle report on First St;

• Officers responded to a DUI driver on Seventh St., nothing was found in area;

• Officers responded to juveniles trespassing on hotel property;

• Officers responded to juveniles on the roof of a business. They were told to stay off of the roof;

• Officers responded to a fight on First St. and Route 66, subjects were gone upon arrival;

• Officers responded to a dog bite on Seventh St;

• Officers responded to a loud crowd on First St. and Grant Ave. the subjects were gone upon arrival;

• Animal control and officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers took a theft of bike report on Grant Ave.;

• Officers dealt with a custody issue on Route 66;

• Officers responded to intoxicated subjects causing problems on Route 66, the subjects were removed;

• Officers responded to an alarm on Seventh St.;

• Officers responded to a suspicious person on Grant Ave;

• Officers responded to an assault on Meade Ave, the suspect fled area;

• Officers took a report of a non-injury hit and run accident on Grant Ave;

• Officers responded to shots fired behind Cataract Lake, the hunters were contacted;

• Officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers responded to a dog injured in a dogfight on Fulton Ave;

• Officers took a bullying report on Grant Ave;

• Officers responded to juveniles trespassing at a local hotel;

• Officers investigated a non-injury accident of a vehicle vs. deer on Route 66 and Rodeo Rd;

• Officers tagged an abandoned vehicle on Grant Ave. and Sixth St;

• Officers responded to another dog injured in a dogfight on Fulton Ave;

• Officers issued four citations and gave out 16 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
