The Williams Police Department answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to an intoxicated male staggering on Route 66;

• Officers responded to a call from a citizen that a drunk driver left a local bar;

• Officers responded to an open door at a vacant home on Taber Street;

• Officers took a report of credit card fraud;

• Officers took a report of identity theft;

• Officers responded to a trespassing incident on Seventh Street.

• Officers arrested a man for carrying a knife in a school zone;

• Officers responded to reckless driving on Route 66;

• Officers took a report of fraud on Route 66;

• Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle on Wells Fargo Drive;

• Officers assisted a vehicle stuck in ice on Route 66;

• Officers took a report of threats on Seventh Street;

• Officers investigated an injury accident on Second Street and Route 66;

• Officers took a report of theft on Route 66;

• Officers responded to people illegally dumping garbage on Fourth Street;

• Officers responded to an alarm at a business on Route 66;

• Officers assisted Lifeline with a person who fell at Safeway;

• Officers responded to harassing phone calls. The calls occurred in county territory. Officers referred the incident back to county;

• Officers responded to a possible Child Protective Services issue and referred it to the county because the incident took place in their jurisdiction;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on Second Street and Route 66 but the person was gone when officer arrived;

• Officers took an assault report on Third Street and Route 66;

• Officers took a report of theft on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers responded to a trespasser on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers dealt with snow issues;

• Officers responded to an assault on Third Street and Route 66. No one would prosecute;

• Officers responded to a verbal domestic incident on Edison Avenue;

• Officers took in found drug paraphernalia on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers took a burglary report on Fulton Avenue;

• Officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers arrested a male on First Street for extreme DUI;

• Officers responded to animal neglect on Fifth Street. The animal was found to be in good health; and

• Officers issued 5 citations and gave out 10 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
