Greater Williams Community Fund announces grant opportunity
Prospective applicants invited to free information session March 15
Williams-Grand Canyon News

WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The Greater Williams Community Fund (GWCF) invites local community organizations to apply for grant funding, with the application available beginning Wednesday, March 14, and due on April 18, 2012.

To assist prospective applicants, a free information session outlining the grant application process will be held 6-7 p.m. on March 15 at the St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church, located at the corner of Second Street and Grant Avenue in Williams. Attendees will learn about the grant process and receive helpful advice on completing their application. Attendance is recommended but not required, and attendance does not guarantee grant funding.

The GWCF expects to award a total of $7,500 in grants this year, and any organization with nonprofit, 501(3)(c) status serving the greater Williams community is eligible to apply. Grant funding is made possible from the investment earnings of the fund, a permanent endowment created to support a variety of community issues in and around Williams, including youth, education, social services, healthcare, senior services and the arts.

To request a grant application or to learn more, contact Kristine Vasquez, chairman of the GWCF Steering Committee, at (928) 863-2467 or; Donna Eastman Liddle at (480) 369-0669 or; or Pats Shriver at the Flagstaff Community Foundation at (928) 526.1956 or

The GWCF is a permanent philanthropic endowment for the enduring benefit of the Williams area community. As a component fund of the Arizona Community Foundation, the Greater Williams Community Fund enjoys cost-effective, centralized financial management and administrative resources provided by ACF, which allows local volunteers to maximize the impact and results of donor gifts. ACF honors local grant making decisions so that contributions given in a community can benefit that community. For more information, visit
