Ever wonder how to let someone know what a difference they make in your life? Now is your chance. The Williams Alliance is proud to sponsor once again the "Blue Ribbon Campaign" - a concept started by Helen "Sparky" Bridges who believes that every adult and child deserves a right to be supported and nurtured by their community by letting them know "Who you are - Makes a Difference"
Now we pass this great opportunity to you. Blue Ribbons can be found at the Williams Unified School District and the front office of Williams Elementary-Middle School as well as Williams High School beginning Monday. Pick one up and let a child, friend or any other adult know that who they are makes a difference.
Make an adult or child nomination for a Blue Ribbon Certificate to be presented during the "Blue Ribbon Celebration," to be held May 15 at the Williams Recreation Center. This year's theme is "Draw the Line."
Your adult nominee might be nominated because he or she influenced youth to make good choices, did not provided alcohol to underage persons or they lock up alcohol to avoid underage access. Other youth or an adult can nominate youth because they make positive decisions.
Nomination forms will be mailed in city of Williams' water bills, or may be picked up and returned at City Recreation, City Hall, Williams High School or Williams Elementary-Middle School.
