VFW Ladies Auxiliary accepting new members

The Matthew James Broehm Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12128 in Williams is seeking new members for the Ladies Auxiliary. Current members of another post are welcome to transfer. New members must have served in a foreign war or qualify through eligible family members. The post meets every second Thursday of the month at 117 W. Route 66, Suite 190 in Williams. Little League registration open now

The 2013 Little League season is here. Registration information is available from the player agent at (928) 266-2479 or at williamslittleleague@gmail.com.

First Friday fish dinner

St. Joseph's Church will offer a fish dinner Friday at 6 p.m. in the church hall at 900 W. Grant Ave. The dinner includes oven-fried fish, rice pilaf, green beans, rolls, dessert and a drink for $5.

Free tax filing available Thursday

IRS certified tax preparers will prepare and file tax returns at no cost at St. John's Church, 202 W. Grant Ave., Feb. 28 from 5-8 p.m. and March 21 from 5-8 p.m.

Grant preparation workshop March 12

Greater Williams Community Fund grant applications for local non-profits will be available March 12, 5:30 p.m. at Walker Hall, 202 West Grant Ave., Williams.

A member of any group wishing to apply must be present. The meeting is mandatory.

The Greater Williams Community Fund will donate over $7,500 to the Williams community this year.
