Sunday we lit the first candle in Advent, the Candle of Blessings. The Lord has blessed us with so many gifts; we are called to be blessings for others. The young disciples learned what Advent means and made ornaments and an Advent wreath. They will be very busy waiting for Christmas.
Tonight Recharge begins at 6 p.m. with a meal and fellowship, followed by the study "Invite-Encounter-Disciple," at 7 p.m. Sisters in Spirit will meet at Virginia Baker's home on Saturday at 7 a.m. for their ornament exchange and fellowship. No business meeting until January. Sisters in Spirit will serve their annual Soup Luncheon on Dec. 19 from 11:30-1 p.m. The men's ministry meets this Saturday at 7 a.m. in the Social Hall. Becky and Chuck Nelson are hosting their annual Christmas gathering Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. A gift exchange is planned. This Sunday is the monthly potluck. Everyone is invited to come and share some good food with their Church family.

Last Thursday of the month is Ladies Mission to Hope Cottage in Flagstaff. Third Wednesday and last Thursday of the month is Sunshine Rescue Mission to feed and teach about the love of Christ.

St. John's Episcopal-Lutheran Church
Our first Advent concert was a success. We were treated to Bluegrass music from Tony Norris and Bill Burke of Flagstaff and Elena Gonzales of Williams. They are all very talented musicians and everyone was able to begin the season of Advent with wonderful music. This was the first of four concerts to be held at St. Johns. Each concert begins at 4 p.m. and is followed by food and friendship. Next Sunday, members of the NAU chorale will be presenting. Everyone please come and join us.
Through music is a wonderful way to get ready for the birth of Christ.
Book Study continues each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. before the worship service at 10:30 a.m. They are studying the Gnostic Gospels. The next vestry meeting will be Dec. 11 at 3 p.m.

Come and worship with us as we celebrate Jesus and the life of freedom he has provided for us. Pastors Ken and Lori Edes and Dave and Gwen Nenne have served in Williams for over 22 years. Our focus is on abundant grace, living as royalty, learning to live our lives like Jesus lived His life with signs and wonders following, and creating a culture of honor among us. We also focus on Missions, supporting those who are there and sending some to the nations, this weekend a group are in Mexico visiting and taking supplies to an orphanage.
