3/18/2014 10:01:00 AM Guest column: Rabies Vaccination Clinic on the horizon
The Williams Animal Action Group (WAAG) 29th annual rabies vaccination clinic will be on April 5 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Williams Rodeo Barn.
Rabies shots will be $10 each including the legal certificate and a metal, numbered tag. Only healthy cats and dogs can be inoculated. Pets must be three months and older. Pregnant or nursing mama animals cannot be vaccinated. Do not bring sick pets to the clinic, as our vet, Dr. Moore, will be unable to examine or treat them.
Look at your pet's rabies certificate to see if it is time for a booster shot. If spring last year was the first time your cat or dog got a rabies shot, it needs a booster now. If your pet is older and has had rabies shots in the past, it is due for a booster if the last vaccination was in 2011. Check your records.
More information will be coming in the next two weeks here in WAAG's co-sponsor, the Williams-Grand Canyon News. Look for our flyers also.
