WILLIAMS - The Vikings boys basketball team started the season with a confident win against the Seligman Antelopes.
With a commanding offense and equally impressive defense, the Vikes dismantled Seligman with a final score of 85-23.
Head Coach Tristan Heisley said the team picked up right where they left off at the end of last season.
"We played extremely well," he said. "We were very efficient on offense and defense."
On the defensive end the Vikings allowed only 23 points with 21 steals. Offensively the Vikes shot 55 percent for the game from the field with 14 assists and only eight total turnovers.
Guy Forbis led the offensive charge with 23 points, eight steals and seven rebounds. His brother Doug Forbis had 17 points, five steals and seven rebounds. Raul Aguilar scored seven field goals adding 14 points to the board.
The Vikes take on Sedona at home this Friday at 7 p.m.
