WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The Williams High School boys and girls varsity basketball teams each lost their respective regular season games at the Joseph City Wildcats Dec. 4.

The boys team lost 69-58, marking the third time the Vikings played the Wildcats in six days. Williams won the first two matchups. The Vikings overall record now stands at 2-2, not including tournament play.

Playing without Alessandro Fadda, out for an extended period of time due to an ankle injury, the Vikings could not put enough points on the board as the Wildcats pulled away in the second half.

The girls team lost to Joseph City by a score of 76-10. The Lady Vikes played a much better game four days later when they took on the Seligman Antelopes at home on Dec. 8. However they still could not pull out a victory, losing 36-17.

The Lady Vikes fell to 0-4 on the season, not including tournament play. The Williams-Grand Canyon News went to print before the girls took on the Grand Canyon Lady Phantoms on the road Tuesday.

The Lady Vikes' next game is an away matchup against Mingus Mountain Academy in Prescott Valley Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m.

The Williams-Grand Canyon News went to print before the boys once again took on the Seligman Antelopes at home on Monday, as well as the Grand Canyon Phantoms on the road Tuesday night.

The Vikings' next game is 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at home against the Winslow Bulldogs.
