H1N1 vaccine will soon be available locally
Health care center will offer clinic Dec. 2
Staff Report/WGCN

The Williams Health Care Center will receive another shipment of the H1N1 flu vaccine for distribution. The first H1N1 flu shot clinic will be open to the public on Dec. 2 by appointment only.

WHCC will be following the first tier of the CDC's recommendations for individuals 6 months and older. These include -

• Pregnant women

• Children aged 6 months to age 4

• Children aged 5-18 years with a chronic medical condition

• People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months

• Health care and emergency services medical workers with direct patient care

The vaccine itself is available at not cost, however; a $20 administration fee will be charged, so it is important for people to bring their current insurance card and a photo ID.

Appointments can be obtained by calling 635-4441.
