Day-use welcomed at Williams
Staff Report/WGCN

WILLIAMS, Ariz. - The Williams and Tusayan Ranger Districts of the Kaibab National Forest have closed their campgrounds for the season. Ten-X Campground on the Tusayan Ranger District is closed, while the lake campgrounds on the Williams Ranger District - Cataract, Dogtown, Kaibab and White Horse - are open for day-use but closed to overnight camping.

Day-use is allowed at all of the lakes between dawn and dusk. Cataract and White Horse lake campgrounds have walk-in only access, while Dogtown and Kaibab Lake campgrounds have drive-in access including access to the boat ramps.

Kaibab National Forest managers remind visitors that it is always illegal to hunt inside developed recreation sites, whether or not they are open for camping.
