The Williams Police Department (WPD) answered the following calls for service -

• Officers responded to suspicious activity on Route 66;

• Officers responded to a parking issue on First Street;

• Officers responded to a disturbance on First Street. It was verbal only and officers separated the parties;

• Officers responded to suspicious activity at a local hotel;

• Officers responded to a burglary on Grant Avenue. The officers identified a suspect, served a search warrant, arrested a male for burglary and recovered property;

• Officers responded to Fairview Drive in reference to juveniles shooting pellet guns;

• Officers took a report of illegal dumping on Airport Road;

• Officers responded to camping in the city;

• Officers responded to a domestic call on Morse Avenue and arrested a female for assault;

• Officers assisted Lifeline at several locations;

• Officers responded to several dog calls;

• Officers responded to a male choking a female near Bearizona, the female would not assist;

• Officers responded to transients on BNSF property and removed them;

• Officers dealt with a mental health issue on Slagel Street;

• Officers responded to an ATV speeding on Seventh Street;

• Officers responded to a domestic call at a local hotel. It was verbal only and officers separated the parties;

• Officers took a report of cell phone theft from a local hotel;

• Officers responded to a fight on Seventh Street. It was unfounded;

• Officers conducted a welfare check on First Street;

• Officers responded to a suspicious person on Grand Canyon Boulevard;

• Officers responded to indecent exposure on Highway 64 by Kaibab Lake;

• Officers responded to persons with drugs on Third Street and Route 66. The subject was gone upon arrival;

• Officers responded to a disturbance at a local hotel and separated the subjects;

• Officers responded to a small juvenile found in the street and returned the juvenile home;

• Officers took an assault report on Route 66;

• Officers took a criminal damage to vehicle report on First Street;

• Officers responded to a suspicious person on Rodeo Road;

• Officers responded to a man threatening with a knife on the Amtrak and arrested a male for felony charges;

• Officers investigated a non injury accident on Fourth Street and Route 66;

• Officers investigated a non injury accident on Third Street and Route 66.

• Officers issued 9 citations and gave out 20 warnings.

Anyone with any information is urged to call the WPD at (928) 635-4461. Anonymous tips can be left at any time at (928) 635-5992. Those who want to report a crime while remaining anonymous, can also call Silent Witness at (928) 774-6111 or (877) 29-CRIME. Silent Witness offers rewards of as much as $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
